At the age of 10 Sarah categorically stated that by the time she was 30 she would have her own business and by the time she was 40 she would have several....

With the launch of Pie and Piper in 2021 she beat her target by a good few years!

Sarah grew up in the hospitality industry in South Africa before spreading her wings and travelling, which saw her settling in Salisbury after meeting a certain young man...

Sarah is a talented and creative baker who insists that all her cakes, be they big or small, taste as good as they look.

Jason is Salisbury "born and bred". He studied Sports Science and Project Management before going on to complete a Masters in Psychology and is also a qualified football coach.

Jason supported Sarah in her dreams from the outset, soon joining the business full time, and using his project management skills to ensure the logistics of the company run smoothly.

Jason has perfected the art of making a perfect pie and his interesting and unusual fillings are always well received, for example Hunter's Chicken Pie or Cheeseburger Pie

Pie and Piper was launched in January 2021 on the Salisbury Charter Market. Sarah's philosophy was "if the business can survive through January and February when it is cold and dark, everyone is either broke or on diet, then it can survive anytime" and she was right. The business has gone from strength to strength.

Joined by husband Jason, and supported by family and friends, Pie and Piper has grown from a small weekly market stall to a busy, full time, successful operation.
